29 CFR 1910.212(a)(2):Guard(s) on machine were not affixed to the machine or secured elsewhere when attachment to the machine was not possible. On or about 3/8/2021, at the USNR Infeed Veneer Dryer #6, located at 1400 Woodcraft Rd in the Madison, GA facility, employees were exposed to a an amputation hazard from moving parts, in that the employer failed to ensure the metal fence material used as guarding around the equipment was securely affixed to the machine, where possible, or fastened by any method (e.g., bolts) that prevented the guard from being inadvertently dislodged or removed.
