29 CFR 1910.217(c)(2)(i): Every point of operation guard did not meet the design, construction, application, and adjustment requirements of this section: a) Production Floor, 522 Job Shop; On or about February 25, 2021 and at times prior, the employer exposed employees to amputation hazards in that employees were required to operate the #163 Ferracute Full Revolution Mechanical Power Press which had a point of operation guard that did not prevent the entry of hands or fingers into the point of operation and did not comply with the maximum permissible openings of Table O-10. C. Hager & Sons Hinge Manufacturing Company, Inc. dba Hager Companies was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1910.217(c)(2)(i), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1366110, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on March 28, 2019, with respect to a workplace located at 150 Folmar Parkway, Montgomery, AL 36105.
