OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to reflex kicks during beef processing : a) JBS Foods, Inc., 800 N. 8th Ave, Greeley, CO 80631: On or before February 3, 2021, the employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that an employee was lacerated when opening the hide of a cow in Area 1 of the Harvest Floor when a cow produced a reflex kick. There was no standard operating procedure to address the hazard. This condition exposed employees to the hazards of lacerations and contusions.
