29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points and rotating parts: (a) U.S. Engineering Metalworks, LLC, at 390 Mountain View Rd Berthoud, CO 80513: On and preceding 1/14/21, guarding was not provided to protect employees from hazards created by rotating parts on the VE460 Roll Grooving Tool. An employee sustained injuries to the hand after contacting the lower grooving wheel while operating the VE460 Roll Grooving Tool. This condition exposed employees to an amputation hazard.
