Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 001 Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.147(d)(2): The machine or equipment was not turned off or shut down using the procedures established for the machine or equipment: a) Neck Skinner Machine Area - On or about January 11, 2021, employees were exposed to an amputation hazard as the employer failed to ensure that authorized employees turned off or shut down the Neck Skinner Machine, in accordance with the procedures established for this machine, in order to safely remove poultry waste debris from in and around the rollers of this particular machine. Allen Harim Foods, LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard 29 CFR 1910.147(d)(2), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1339370, citation number 1 item number 3 and was affirmed as a final order on June 6, 2019, with respect to a workplace located at 18752 Harbeson Road, Habeson, DE 19951.
