29 CFR 1910.95(c)(1): The employer did not administer a continuing, effective hearing conservation program as described in 29 CFR 1910.9(c) through (o) whenever employee noise exposures equal or exceed an 8-hour time-weighted average sound level of 85 decibels measured on the A scale, or equivalently a dose of fifty percent: At a facility located at 2221 North Belcrest, Springfield, MO 65806: The employer failed to protect employees from occupational noise hazards. This was most recently demonstrated on or about March 18, 2021, and at times prior when: a) An employee in the railing department/performing welding operations was exposed to a dose of 93% or an equivalent of 89.4 decibels as an 8-hour time-weighted average and the employer had not developed and implemented an effective hearing conservation program. b) An employee in the fabrication department/performing fabrication work was exposed to a dose of 68.4.3% or an equivalent of 87.2 decibels as an 8-hour time-weighted average and the employer had not developed and implemented an effective hearing conservation program.
