Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 001 Hazard:
29 CFR OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1):The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees from struck-by and/or crush-by hazards: Warehouse - Racks near PD 1501 and PD 1001: On or about 12/11/2020, the commercial steel racking units located in the warehouse area of the facility had bent and/or damaged stanchions and horizontal struts. Product such as, but not limited to; cartons and boxes of carpet pads, carpets remnant and rugs were stored haphazardly and/or beyond that capacity of the rack(s), thus creating a struck-by or crush-by hazard for employees who worked near or in close proximity to the racking units.
