29 CFR OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): OSHA ACT of Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious harm to employees in that employees were exposed to struck-by/crush-by hazards while performing auto services with defective automotive lifts: a. On or about November 23, 2020 and at times prior, at the service department, the employer did not ensure that defective automotive lifts were taken out of service and allowed employees to keep raising vehicles on them. Employees were exposed to struck-by/crushing hazards from vehicles falling from or shifting on automotive lifts. (1) On service bay #5, Globe brand hydraulic two post lift 9,000 lbs capacity (Model ES-9000A, S/N: 95AC1165) had a defective carriage lock latch and hydraulic leaks (2) On service bay #13, Globe brand hydraulic two post lift 9,000 lbs. capacity (Model ES-9000A, S/N: 95 AA0608) had a defective carriage lock latch and hydraulic leaks (3) On service bay #18, Globe brand hydraulic two post lift 9,000 lbs capacity (Model ES-9000A, S/N: 95-BJ0336) had a defective carriage lock latch
