29 CFR 1910.132(d)(1)(i): The employer did not select and have each affected employee use, the types of personal protective equipment that would protect the affected employee(s) from the hazards identified in the hazard assessment: At the workplace located at 10221 NW Transcon Drive, Kansas City, Missouri: Employees were exposed to struck by hazards. Employees operating the baler and employees bringing material to the baler did not have high visibility vests. The baler area is a high traffic area for forklifts. On or about November 3, 2020, a temporary worker whose job it was to collect materials for the baler was injured and hospitalized as a result of the injuries. Employees who collected materials for the baler and operated the baler were not required to wear high visibility vests.
