29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks. On or about 10/23/2020, employees completing production activities at line P33, assembly Zone 4 were not protected from struck-by hazards when using the conveyor shroud as a walking/working surface. The shroud was inadequately guarded at various points throughout the assembly line, exposing employees to struck-by hazards from moving carriers. Decostar Industries Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number #1164039, citation number 1, item number 3 and was affirmed as a final order on 02/09/2017, with respect to a workplace located at 1 Decoma Drive, Carrollton, GA 30117..
