29 CFR 1910.184(c)(2): Whenever any sling is used, the following practices shall be observed: Slings shall not be shortened with knots or bolts or other makeshift devices. a) On or about September 24, 2020 at least one sling synthetic web sling that had been in use by weld shop employees had been tied in a knot.
