29 CFR 1926.501(a)(2): The employer did not determine if the walking/working surfaces on which its employees were to work on, had the strength and structure integrity to support employees safely: On or about 09/29/2020, the employer failed to ensure that the surface area accessed by employees engaged roofing activities at a commercial property located at 345 Patton Drive in Atlanta, Georgia, was structurally sound to support employees safely. An employee in the process of removing a damaged section of roof was exposed to a fall of approximately 24 feet (from the top of the roof to the concrete surface below) when the section of roof he was standing on collapse/gave way.
