29 CFR 1910.147(d)(5)(i):Following the application of lockout or tagout devices to energy isolating devices, all potentially hazardous stored or residual energy shall be relieved, disconnected, restrained, and otherwise rendered safe: a) Optima Bagger - On or about September 22, 2020, troubleshooting on the Optima Bagging machine exposes employees to caught -in hazards while making adjustments to the bag sensing finger. The employer's procedures relied on a sensor to hold the table in place and therefore did not block or utilize a restraining device to control gravity as an energy source.
