29 CFR 1910.134(f)(2): Employee(s) using tight-fitting facepiece respirators were not fit tested prior to initial use of the respirator or annually refitted: a) Emergency Room, Palisades Medical Center, 7600 River Road, North Bergen, NJ 07047. The employer required Emergency Room employees including Patient Care Technicians to wear N-95 respirators to provide care for COVID-19 positive and/or persons under investigation (PUI) for COVID-19. However, the employer did not provide these employees with an annual fit test prior to March 2020 to ensure the respirator fit employees to protect them from exposure to the virus. Violation occurred on or about 3/20/2020 and thereafter.
