29 CFR 1926.100(a): Employees working in areas where there is a possible danger of head injury from impact, or from falling or flying objects, or from electrical shock and burns, shall be protected by protective helmets. a. On or about June 29, 2020, at the above addressed jobsite, the employer did not ensure that an employee working in the pit of an elevator shaft, below elevator re-cabling activities, was following Company requirements to wear a hard hat to protect against falling materials and debris.
