29 CFR 1926.416(a)(1): The employer permitted employees to work in such proximity to any part of an electric power circuit that the employee could contact the electric power circuit in the course of work, unless the employee is protected against electric shock by de-energizing the circuit and grounding it or by guarding it effectively by insulation or other means. (a) 15th and Callowhill Street, Philadelphia, PA 19102 - Employees were exposed to electrical contact hazards in that the employer failed to protect the employees from energized (13.2 kV) electrical utility lines and did not de-energize and ground or guard it effectively by insulation or other means. An employee for the company suffered severe injuries after coming in contact with energized underground high voltage electrical utilities while conducting demolition operations. Observed on or about 08 JUNE 2020.
