OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to a STRUCK BY/FALL HAZARD: a) 29642 County Route 50, south side of existing building, entire truss installation area, on or about 6-25-20, Employees were working in/on/under wood trusses that were being installed without continuous lateral and diagonal bracing. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable method of abatement to correct the hazard is to: Install continuous lateral bracing (including purlins as needed) and diagonal bracing, simultaneously with truss erection, as specified on contract drawings and also in accordance with Truss Plate Institute (TPI) Installation Standard DSB-89 and DSB-91 "RECOMMENDED DESIGN SPECIFICATIONS FOR TEMPORARY BRACING OF METAL PLATE CONNECTED WOOD TRUSSES" and Structural Building Components Association (SBCA) BCSI-B1 "SUMMARY SHEET-GUIDE FOR HANDLING, INSTALLING, RESTRAINING AND BRACING OF TRUSSES". ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION IS REQUIRED FOR THIS ITEM
