29 CFR 1926.600(a)(60(iv) Where it was difficult for the operator to maintain minimum required clearance by visual means, a person was not designated to observe clearance between equipment and energized power lines, and give timely warning for all operations. On or about February 10, 2020, at jobsite 3725 W Grace Street Tampa, FL, a subcontractor employee was exposed to an energized 69kV overhead power lines while operating a mobile telescopic boom lift when no person was designated to observe clearance of the lift and give timely warning should the operator come closer than eleven feet from the power line.
