29 CFR 1904.39(a)(2): The employer did not report an in-patient hospitalization, amputation, or loss of an eye as a result of a work-related incident to OSHA within twenty-four (24) hours. On May 22, 2020, at approximately 9:00 AM, an employee suffered from an insect bite that later got infected requiring in-patient hospitalization. The hospitalization was not reported within 24 hours to the local area office of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration. The Austin Area Office was notified on June 5, 2020 at 9:42 AM, by an employer representative.
