29 CFR 1910.22(c): (c) Access and egress. The employer must provide, and ensure each employee uses, a safe means of access and egress to and from walking-working surfaces. a) On or about 4/15/2020 the conveyor system for the bacon line allowed employees to access the rotating rollers due to the rollers not being properly guarded with methods such as barrier guards and electronic safety devices. Employees were exposed to a caught in hazard while operating the machine. The Sugar Creek Packaging Co. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.212 (a)(1) which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1076213, citation number 2, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 5/25/2016, with respect to a workplace located at 4235 Thunderbird Lane, Fairfield, OH. 45014.
