Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 001 Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.95(g)(6): "Annual audiogram." At least annually after obtaining the baseline audiogram, the employer shall obtain a new audiogram for each employee exposed at or above an 8-hour time-weighted average of 85 decibels. a. On or about March 13, 2020, the employer did not obtain a new audiogram for each employee exposed at or above an 8-hr time-weighted average of 85 decibels. Audiograms had previously been completed between January 1, 2019 and January 21, 2019. Failure to complete annual audiometric testing prevents detection of hearing loss attributed to occupational noise exposures.
