29 CFR 1910.212(a)(3)(ii): Point(s) of operation of machinery were not guarded to prevent employee(s) from having any part of their body in the danger zone(s) during operating cycle(s): (a) Facility, Wood Laminating Dept., 361 Bridgeport Road, Mount Pleasant, PA: On or about March 11, 2020 the guard for the in-running nip points on the rolls on the glue machine was not adequate to prevent contact with the moving parts. An employee attempted to remove debris from one of the rolls and their right hand was pulled into the moving rolls causing crushing hazards to their right thumb that resulted in an amputation to the first knuckle.
