29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: a. On or about February 12th, 2020 and at times prior, at 1851 Blount Rd. Pompano Beach FL, 33069, an employee was exposed to an amputation hazard when placing his hand into an unguarded area of an HMB Metal Brickquetter Machine. Exotech, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1296933, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 05/15/2018, with respect to a workplace located at 1851 Blount Road, Pompano Beach, FL 33069.
