1910.212(a)(3)(iii) Special handtools for placing and removing material shall be such as to permit easy handling of material without the operator placing a hand in the danger zone. Such tools shall not be in lieu of other guarding required by this section, but can only be used to supplement protection provided. On or about January 23, 2020, special hand tools to supplement the existing machine guarding to keep the employee's hands from the danger zone at the point of operation were not provided on the Schnell Centro Multifunzione Barwiser 22N Autobender (#0730 091298 - 2009) while fabricating a three-dimensional, specialty type 25 "standee" product.
