29 CFR 1910.28(b)(1)(i)(C): Employer did not ensure that each employee on a walking-working surface with an unprotected side or edge that was 4 feet (1.2 m) or more above a lower level was protected from falling through the use of a personal fall protection systems, such as personal fall arrest, travel restraint, or positioning systems: a) Distribution Center Pallet Flow Racking System: On or about January 29, 2020, and at times prior thereto; Forklift operators of Raymond 740R45TT reach trucks and Raymond pacer trucks have been unhooking from their safety belts and harnesses in order to clear pallet jams that happen as a result of misaligned product. Employees are exposed to a 3-20 foot fall hazard once they unhook and work to clear jams that are close to the edge of the rack system, and/or exposed to a trip or caught-in hazard while pallet rack rollers are moving as they climb into the live flow system. Note* Abatement certification IS required for this item.
