Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 001 Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.134(c)(1): In any workplace where respirators are necessary to protect the health of the employee or whenever respirators are required by the employer, the employer shall establish and implement a written respiratory: a. On or about January 17, 2020, at the above addressed jobsite, employees were conducting air blasting on surfaces containing lead based paint and sand blasting operations and exposed to respirable crystalline silica. The employer required the use of respiratory protection during the operations but failed to develop and implement a respirator program thereby exposing employees to respiratory hazards.
