29 CFR 1926.501(b)(11): Each employee on a steep roof with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels was not protected from falling by guardrail systems with toeboards, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems: a) Job site, 870 Riversea Road, Pittsburgh, PA: On or about January 9, 2020, during roofing activities, the employer did not ensure that an employee on a steep pitched roof used appropriate fall protection systems/devices while installing flag line equipment. The employer allowed the use of a safety monitor system for fall protection purposes while performing this work on the steep pitched roof, exposing the employee to a fall hazard of up to at least approximately 30 feet.
