29 CFR 1910.37(a)(3): Exit route(s) were not kept free and unobstructed: (a) On or about 12/13/2019 - Mailroom Floor, employees were exposed to trip and fall, smoke inhalation, and fire/burn hazards because the Emergency Exit Access and Exit Discharge in the back left of the mailroom were blocked by mail handling equipment such as, but not limited to Carrier hampers, Undeliverable Bulk Business Mail (UBBM) Containers, and/or Roll Arounds and Floaters. The U. S. Postal Service was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1910.37(a)(3), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1264552, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on November 13, 2018, with respect to a workplace located at 4065 Manor Drive, Burton, MI 48529. The U. S. Postal Service was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1910.37(a)(3), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1194247, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on April 10, 2017, with respect to a workplace located at 1801 Brooke Rd., Richmond, VA 23322.
