29 CFR 1926.502(d)(11): Lifelines were not protected against being cut or abraded: a) Arbol De Vida located at 230 E. Long Street, Columbus, OH 43215: On and preceding December 10, 2019, the employer did not ensure that vertical lifelines used for fall protection at or near leading edges were protected against being cut. A vertical lifeline, rope grab was used as a personal fall arrest system (PFAS) by the framing crews near 90 degree leading edges while installing parapet walls and wood decking at heights beyond 6 feet. The lifeline was not protected from being cut by the 90 degree edge in the event of a fall. The following condition exposed the employee to falls up to 70 feet.
