29 CFR 1910.147(c)(4)(i): Procedures were not developed, documented and utilized for the control of potentially hazardous energy when employees were engaged in activities covered by this section: On or about November 08, 2019 and at times prior, at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, Fort Lauderdale, FL. 33315, specific lock-out, tag-out procedures such as, cribbing, blocking, and/or securing, were not used when elevating a large wheel-type aviation support push and pull vehicle to provide maintenance and repair, thereby exposing a worker to a crushing hazard. IN THE ALTERNATIVE: 29 CFR 1910.244(a)(2)(iii): Loads were not cribbed, blocked or otherwise secured immediately after being raised with a jack: On or about November 08, 2019 and at times prior, at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, Fort Lauderdale, FL. 33315, specific lock-out, tag-out procedures such as, cribbing, blocking, and/or securing, were not used when elevating a large wheel-type aviation support push and pull vehicle to provide maintenance and repair, thereby exposing a worker to a crushing hazard. NOTE: CERTIFICATION AND DOCUMENTATION OF ABATEMENT IS REQUIRED FOR THIS VIOLATION.
