29 CFR 1910.178(q)(1): Any power-operated industrial truck not in safe operating condition was not taken out of service, and/or repairs were not made by authorized personnel: Loading Dock: The employer did not remove the Toyota In Charger Model electric pallet jack from service that was found in operation with a battery cable having exposed copper wiring. Employees were operating the pallet jack to transport metal bins containing parcels. Employees were exposed to electrical shock and/or mechanical failure hazards. The U.S. Postal Service was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard, which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1153914, citation number 1 , item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on 09/02/2016, with respect to a workplace located at Las Vegas, Nevada.
