29 CFR 1910.147(c)(7)(i): The employer did not provide adequate training to ensure that the purpose and function of the energy control program was understood by employees: (a) Between the time period of September 20, 2019 and September 26, 2019, Kasto Inc. did not ensure that all employees performing maintenance and servicing on equipment at Earl M. Jorgensen Company, 1900 Mitchell Blvd, Schaumburg, Illinois 60193 were provided with training on the specific lockout tagout procedures to ensure they had the knowledge and skills required for the safe application, usage and removal of energy control. An employee performing maintenance activities, while undergoing peer to peer training, on equipment such as the KASTO Unicompact 3.0 machine, was allowed to do so without lockout tagout training.
