29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels are not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, or an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501(b): 1. Employees performing roofing work are not protected from fall hazards through the use of a fall protection system. The employer fails to ensure effective protection against falls as required by the standard, as demonstrated on or about September 24, 2019, at 4561 SW Masefield St, Port Saint Lucie, FL, 34953, when employees installing shingles on a roof with a pitch of 4:12, without the use of conventional fall protection, are exposed to a fall hazard greater than 9-feet to ground level.
