29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. a) On or about 09/19/19, at the new KFC restaurant under construction, located on 2222 Lyell Avenue, in Gates, New York, the employer did not enforce or issue fall protection to employees working on a commercial roof. Employees were not protected from falling 6 feet 4 inches to a lower level (refrigeration unit). The Mantis Roofing & Sheet Metal Company was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.501(b)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1066764, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 09/02/15, with respect to a workplace located at 25 Methodist Hill Drive, Rochester, NY 14623 NO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED
