29 CFR 1910.132(d)(1)(i): The employer did not select and have each affected employee use, the types of personal protective equipment that would protect the affected employee(s) from the hazards identified in the hazard assessment: a) Villa Pueblo Senior Living Care, Pueblo CO: On or about September 16, 2019, and at times prior, the employer did not select the appropriate personal protective equipment to protect employees from cryogenic hazards while handling liquid oxygen. Employees are required to refill portable tanks containing liquid oxygen while caring for residents. While refilling the liquid oxygen tanks, employees were not provided adequate personal protective equipment to prevent injury from contact with extreme temperatures.
