29 CFR 1904.39(a)(2): The employer did not report within 24-hours a work-related incident resulting in in-patient hospitalization, amputation or the loss of an eye. On August 26, 2019, at approximately 10:30 am, a painter engaged in spray painting activities was manually adjusting the tip of a pneumatically powered spray paint gun. He activated the gun trigger with his right hand while he had his left (gloved) hand in front of the spray gun tip, which caused a paint injection go through the leather glove into the palm of his left hand, towards the base of the thumb. The employee was transported to the hospital by his foreman, where he was admitted to undergo surgeries.
