29 CFR 1926.20(b)(2): Such programs shall provide for frequent and regular inspections of the job sites, materials, and equipment to be made by competent persons designated by the employers. This employer did not conduct an inspection of the jobsite, by a competent person, prior to authorizing an employee to begin work. An employee was exposed to fall hazards that had not been inspected which resulted in a fatal incident.
