29 CFR 1910.132(a): Protective equipment was not used when necessary whenever hazards capable of causing injury and impairment were encountered: a) Filling racks located at 202 Stevens Parkway in Bay Minette, AL: On or about August 9, 2019 and at times prior thereto, the employer did not ensure that a hood or an equivalent protective equipment item was used while loading tanker trailers at the asphalt facility which exposed employees to burns and other injuries associated with making contact with hot mix asphalt. b) Filling racks located at 835 Cochrane Causeway in Mobile, AL: On or about August 9, 2019 and at times prior thereto, the employer did not ensure that a hood or an equivalent protective equipment item was used while loading tanker trailers at the asphalt facility which exposed employees to burns and other injuries associated with making contact with hot mix asphalt.
