OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): Section 5(A)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish to each of his employees employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or were likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: Crushing hazards as an employee was operating an Exmark Lazer Z zero turn lawn mower and was not wearing the seat belt provided. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable method to correct this hazardous condition would be to instruct each employee of the need to wear a seat belt during the mower's operation.
