29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1): The employer did not ensure that each affected employee used appropriate eye or face protection when exposed to eye or face hazards from flying particles, molten metal, liquid chemicals, acids or caustic liquids, chemical gases or vapors, or potentially injurious light radiation. On or about July 23, 2019, employees performing framing activities using pneumatic nail guns without eye protection and were exposed to eye injuries from being struck-by flying object hazards. Avila Construction, LLC. was previously cited for a Serious violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1) which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1262305, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on March 1,2019 with respect to a workplace located at 2820 College Avenue, Conway, Arkansas. Avila Construction, LLC. was previously cited for a Serious violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1) which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1233864, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on October 12, 2017, with respect to a workplace located at 3321 S. Bowman Road, Little Rock, Arkansas.
