29 CFR 1910.132(d)(1): The employer did not assess the workplace to determine if hazards are present, or are likely to be present, which necessitate the use of personal protective equipment (PPE): a. Building A, Screen Exposure and Screen Washout Areas: On or about July 17, 2019, and at times prior, the employer exposed employees to corrosive hazards associated with the use of Activator 6%, "Chemical Consultants, Inc." GR-9 Screen Wash/Ink Degradent and "Chemical Consultants, Inc." LSR-30 liquid stain remover in that, the employer did not address corrosive chemicals in in the hazard assessment for Screen Printers affecting deficiencies in training, personal protective equipment, and emergency eyewash and shower installations. b. Building A, Paint Department: On or about July 17, 2019, and at times prior, the employer exposed employees to corrosive and flammable hazards associated with the use of Matthews Paint" Catalyst 74 766SP, "Mathews Paint" Catalyst 43 270SP, "Mathews Paint" Reducer 45 280SP, "Mathews Paint" Undercoat 274 777SP, "Mathews Paint" Satin Map Mixing Base N 953SP, "Printers Service" XCELLO and acetone in that, the employer did not address corrosive or flammable chemicals in the hazard assessment for Painters affecting deficiencies in training, personal protective equipment, and emergency eyewash and shower installations. c. Building C, Paint Department: On or about July 17, 2019, and at times prior, the employer exposed employees to corrosive and flammable hazards associated with the use of "Matthews Paint" Undercoat 74 770SP, "Matthews Paint" Catalyst 74 766SP and "PPG" DP402LF Epoxy Primer Catalyst in that, the employer did not address corrosive or flammable chemicals in the hazard assessment for Painters affecting deficiencies in training, personal protective equipment, and emergency eyewash and shower installations.
