29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. a) On or about July 6, 2019, and at times prior, temployees were exposed to falls where the employer did not ensure that workers securing tarps on top of a 14 ft tall structure with a flat top were protected where no guard rails, safety nets, or fall arrest systems were provided or put in place.
