The employer must ensure: 29 CFR 1910.22(a)(3): Walking-working surfaces are maintained free of hazards such as sharp or protruding objects, loose boards, corrosion, leaks, spills, snow, and ice. a. On or about June 28, 2019, the employer did not ensure that oil on the floor at the exit end of the Niko Walking Beam machine was cleaned prior to allowing an employee work in the area to unload parts, thereby exposing the employee to a slip hazard.
