29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: (a) South Packaging Line: On or about June 19, 2019, and days prior, the Heat and Control, Inc. FastBack Distribution System did not have all pinch points guarded at 47 rotation points. This exposed the operators of the Heat and Control, Inc. FastBack Distribution System to amputation injury. (b) North Packaging Line: On or about June 19, 2019, and days prior, the Heat and Control, Inc. FastBack Distribution System did not have all pinch points guarded at 31 rotation points. This exposed the operators of the Heat and Control, Inc. FastBack Distribution System to amputation injury. The Baptista's Bakery, LLC company was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1018204, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on August 3, 2015, with respect to a workplace located at 4625 W. Oakwood Park Drive, Franklin, WI 53132.
