29 CFR 1926.652(a)(1): Each employee in an excavation was not protected from cave-ins by an adequate protective system designed in accordance with paragraph (b) or (c) of this section: a) 30 Maple Ave., Great Barrington, MA: On or about June 5, 2019 two employees were observed working in an unprotected excavation which was in excess of 6 feet deep. b) 80 Maple Ave., Great Barrington, MA: On or about June 5, 2019, an employee was observed working in an unprotected excavation which was in excess of 7 feet deep. Specific abatement documentation that this violation has been corrected must be provided within 10 days of the abatement in accordance with 29CFR1903.19(d)(1).
