29 CFR 1926.21(b)(2): The employer shall instruct each employee in the recognition and avoidance of unsafe conditions and the regulations applicable to his work environment to control or eliminate any hazards or other exposure to illness or injury. a) First Lane, Three Lane Highway: On or about May 14, 2019, and at times prior, the employer exposed employees to struck-by hazards, in that the employer did not properly instruct the employees in recognizing, eliminating or controlling hazards associated with work performed in an active roadway while cleaning road cracks.
