29 CFR 1910.179(b)(5): The rated load of the crane was not plainly marked on each side of the crane, and if the crane has more than one hoisting unit, each hoist shall have its rated load marked on it or its load block and this marking shall be clearly legible from the ground or floor: (a) This violation occurred on April 24, 2019, where employee(s) assisting with the operation of the fifty (50) ton capacity Paceco Gantry Crane #184 were exposed to a crushed-by hazard in that the rated load of the crane was not plainly marked on each side of the crane or its load block. (b) This violation occurred on April 24, 2019, where employee(s) assisting with the operation of the 5 ton capacity Paceco Gantry Crane #184 were exposed to a crushed-by hazard in that the rated load of the crane was not plainly marked on each side of the crane or its load block.
