OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish the employees employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm in that employees were exposed to crush-by hazards while removing a piece of equipment from a salvaged crane. a) Ralph Clayton & Sons, 1235 E. Veterans Highway Jackson, NJ: Employees removed parts from out of service truck mounted cranes to use in the repair of in-service truck mounted cranes. Employees are exposed to crush-by hazards while removing parts from out of service cranes, on or about 4/18/19. NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM. FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.
