29 CFR 1910.25(b)(7): Standard stairs were not used to provide access from one walking-working surface to another when operations necessitate regular and routine travel between levels, including access to operating platforms for equipment. a) Aruvil International, Inc. Shipping-Receiving Dock: The CSHO observed employees and management using stacked pallets located next to the loading dock as stairs. The employer did not ensure that standard stairs were utilized to access the loading dock, on or about 5/2/19. NOTE: THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION FOR THIS ITEM. FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1,000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.
