29 CFR 1910.212(a)(3)(ii): Point of operation guards were not designed and constructed as to prevent the operator from having any part of their body in the danger zone during the operating cycle: a. On or about April 3, 2019, in the production area, employees were required to operate the Verson Allsteel press brake #13 on a daily basis. The employer failed to provide adequate guarding for the Verson Allsteel press brake #13. Employees were thereby exposed to the hazards associated with unguarded points of operation during the operating cycles. b. On or about April 3, 2019, in the production area, employees were required to operate the Heim press brake on a daily basis. The employer failed to provide adequate guarding for the Heim press brake. Employees were thereby exposed to the hazards associated with unguarded points of operation during the operating cycles. a. On or about April 3, 2019, in the production area, employees were required to operate the Verson press brake #2 on a daily basis.
